Although I wouldn’t count myself as the biggest smoothie fan, and you wouldn’t find me making a smoothie every day. I do like a smoothie as a quick option to add some healthy foods. Particular sometimes when I have various greens and don’t feel like they fit that well in a salad, I like to play and see how a smoothie may turn out.
Further smoothies are a great way to incorporate more greens, particular with kids. They are also easy to bring with you as a drink.
This smoothie is packed with the greens you have at hand. With spinach and avocado as the green base you can make it your own by adding any greens you have at home. Now in the summer with our garden I like to add anything, from the leaves of beetroot or carrot, to kale leaves, ruccola or micro greens. In the winter I depend more on what I buy in the store. The banana and blueberries add some sweetness to the smoothie to make it taste delicious. I personally like to blend my smoothies with water, but you can use any type of milk or yogurt as well.
Put all ingredients in the blender and blend for 2-3 minutes. Voila!
Smoothies last in an airtight container up to 2 days, but contain most nutrients fresh.
