I’m Cathleen, mother, entrepreneur, health coach, happiness pursuer & unshakable optimist committed to helping you become the person you want to be.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been interested in human beings. Curious about what makes us happy, vibrant, successful and how do we live the life of our dreams.
Why do some people seem to have it all, while others seem to struggle their whole life?
So now, I decided I’ll document my journey and all the information I come across. There will be a newsletter, life hacks, recipes and more to make your everyday easier.
I’m born and raised in Germany. I started having the travel bug early, first traveling with my family in a small camper van around Europe. Later traveling by myself in Europe, Asia, Africa and US. With 18 I lived for a while in the US, later moving to Ireland, Switzerland and now living in beautiful Norway.
While traveling I had the opportunity to meet many people with many different lives and different worldviews. That was inspiring and had a huge impact on my life.
Further, I’m a bookworm, reading everything from novels to psychology, human behavior, spirituality, travel books and so much more. When I’m not reading or traveling, I listen to music, plant, cook or am outside. Out in about on hikes, boat trips, skiing or just get together with friends.
Over more than 10 years, I worked in corporate jobs, from Customer Service, Sales, Finance, Training, Communication and Business Development. I did hundreds of job interviews, talked to thousands of customers and employees, improved procedures through Lean Six Sigma and worked cross teams on several projects.
I had a good life and I was part of the hamster wheel. Wanted to go more often to the gym, lose weight, struggled with depression at times and just wanted more time and be happier. Often wondering if this is it!
I wanted to be the mother who tries to do it all?
Spend quality time with their children, connect with their spouse, prepare healthy and delicious food, have a clean home, a successful career, take yoga classes, have time for myself and my friends and everything just is and seems perfect. Like the mothers from advertisements or blogs.
I tried and I failed. Now I can say – that’s okay!
I’m a mother who steps on Lego, dolls and trains, who can get frustrated sometimes, wish there would be more time, energy and sleep and dream of the day again where I can read a book without interruption.
And that is okay too, I’m a human and so are you. I realized I don’t have to do it all.
Until my son was born I was a part of the corporate business world. I thought I would return after my son was 1 year old. However I was wrong.
The day my son was born, the moment I held him the first time in my arms something shifted deep within me.
The following first months together are a haze of crying, sleeplessness and taking care of our loved and precious little child. From this point of exhaustion, having this healthy demanding baby I started bit by bit to discover my true self and what I wanted from life. That meant finding my own voice, standing up for me and my baby and ignoring some well-meant advice.
I choose healthy, delicious food, living more simple and more naturally. Okay, most of the time. I designed the schedule that is suiting us by starting my own business, even if it means odd hours. Moreover, we are taking time to be outside, explore nature and going with the flow what feels right for us.
I’m just a mom who is passionate about creating a healthy life for me and my family and I’m guessing you are a lot like me.
Therefore, I’m here to serve you. I stepped out of the hamster wheel of life and so can you!
Living a simple, nourishing and joyful life can be easy and I want to invite you on the journey, share life hacks, easy recipes, research and so much more with you.
I want you to have the life that is one of a kind, unique and like the one in your dreams.
Whether you want to be more active and healthy or looking for a big change in your personal life. I’m here to help you reach your full potential and get in touch with the wisdom within you.
Cheers
Cathleen
